About DisasterStrikes!

Because "I'll deal with it later" is the official motto of impending doom

Our Origin Story

It started with a scream. Then another. By the third lost document, we knew something had to change.

Like you, we've experienced that heart-dropping moment when:

  • The blue screen of death appears during your most important work
  • Your cat walks across your keyboard at the worst possible moment
  • You realize your "backup solution" was just wishful thinking

After one too many disasters (both digital and caffeinated), we built DisasterStrikes! - your personal preparedness drill sergeant.

We believe preparedness isn't about paranoia - it's about peace of mind. Our mission is to make disaster readiness as routine as brushing your teeth (but significantly more exciting).

How It Works

DisasterStrikes! is like fire drills for your entire digital (and real) life:

💻 Level 1: Digital Disasters

"Where did my document go?" moments, forgotten passwords, and the dreaded unsaved changes.

🏠 Level 2: Home Front

Power outages, leaky roofs, and that time the kids flushed your phone.

🌪️ Level 3: Force Majeure

Natural disasters, unexpected evacuations, and weather that laughs at your umbrella.

🧟 Level 4: Apocalypse Prep

Zombies, alien invasions, or whatever 202X decides to throw at us next.

Our AI-Powered Approach

Using cutting-edge AI (with extra caffeine), we:

Cut the generated BS, what is this?

Ok. So this is a project that serves two purposes: First one, i wasn't lying about wanting to be prepped better for disasters. Everytime I can't find my phone or wallet, my bloodpressure goes through the roof and I think about the time I could have spend on dealing with this exact scenario.

Secondly, I see too many YouTube video's, and blogpost about people without any development knowledge rolling out complete applications in the matter of hours while using generation through AI. I was too curious to figure out if this could actually be a thing. Turns out: yes and no. I'll write a blogpost about it soon.

For now, I like to help myself, and others in trying to prepare the best they can for all kind of disasters, small and big. There are many plans on expanding this project (better tips, mobile apps, more scenarios, etc.) but for now, this is it. The MVP. I would love some feedback in what you think.
